BIO:
Hi all, I'm Maddie Mae, and I want to be your new BFF. FTF rescued me and my sister Liv Mae from an overcrowded shelter in Tunica, Mississippi, where we were taken after being found abandoned. The two of us are now thriving in a terrific foster home and receiving the caring and kindness every pooch deserves.
My favorite activity is being with humans of all ages and sizes. Even toddlers are safe around me, since I never jump. I adore hugs, giving kisses, belly rubs, and snuggling in close-ideally on your lap (who says I'm too big?). I get along great with other canines and am very submissive, play bowing and rolling over for them to sniff. I have bursts of puppy energy, which I use up doing zoomies around the yard, then I chill out once back inside. I've started attending training classes (required for all FTF pups) and can't wait to show you all the commands I've already learned.
A few other things about me. Now that I'm on a regular schedule, I'm almost there when it comes to potty training-no accidents for a whole month! I'm content to sleep in my crate overnight and when my foster family goes out. But I really don't like being left alone and can get loud. So no shared walls (condo/apartment), and a person/family who is home more often than not would be my best fit. I'd love a fenced yard to play in, but as long as I get plenty of exercise, that's not essential.
I dream of having a forever home, where I can be the devoted canine companion to a person, couple, or family. I promise you we'll have a wonderful life together. So please fill out an adoption application and come and meet me!
Love and licks,
Maddie Mae
If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
